You know I love a good snack charcuterie board, especially for a holiday! So I put together this easy 4th of July Patriotic snack board – perfect for kids to graze on for Independence Day.
Super simple – just grab a mix of red, white & blue snack foods & put them on a tray! I have some RW&B topping ideas below.
Pretty Cheese/Snack Boards
This is the one I have + that’s shown in these pics :). I use it ALL THE TIME and it’s under $30, so a great buy!
How to Make A Patriotic Snack Board
It’s pretty simple – grab some snacks & start stacking! I try to choose a mix of fresh + healthy along with a few unexpected sweet treats.
Red Food Ideas
- strawberries
- raspberries
- Twizzlers
- Swedish Fish
- cherry tomatoes
- cherries
- watermelon
- dried cranberries
White Food Ideas
- sliced apples
- mini marshmallows
- white cheddar
- crackers
- yogurt pretzels
- powdered donuts
- mini pancakes
- sliced banana
- popcorn
Blue Food Ideas
- blueberries
- blackberries
- grapes
As far as technique goes… just try to mix up the red, white, and blue foods! I basically try to mix items of different colors and textures.
Just wash your fruit first – this can totally be done ahead of time! I did use a star cookie cutter to make the watermelon stars. Just slice watermelon into THIN slices and then use the cookie cutter to punch out little stars.

This charcuterie board is GORGEOUS, and so kid friendly! I wish I’d seen it for the 4th of July — we ended up doing smoked salmon instead (way less kid friendly!). I’ll try this out for Labor Day!
