It’s (almost) done!!! I’ve been working hard getting Coop’s big boy room ready and he’s moved in and I think he’s a fan… “I ‘ove my ‘ig boy rooom!” So relieved to have this project checked off my list before baby #3 joins us in just a few weeks. In case you missed it, take a peek at the big boy room inspiration – I want my kids’ rooms to be fun but fit in with the general look and feel of our home.
Because I love a good makeover story, here’s a “before” pic… beige walls, brown curtains, an ugly ceiling fan, just bad. Woof. We changed this…
To this!
The rest of the room:
large initial wall decor // white bookshelf
sheets // lion stuffed animal (aka “roar”)
sheepskin rug c/o RugsUSA
gold wire shelf – still needs to be filled š
gold hardware // brass mirror // lamb stuffed animal
hockey wall art // personalized trucker art c/o minted (see more inspo here) // woven basket (similar)
navy rug // grey curtains // gold basket
white rocker c/o wildkin // lion head wall decor

A couple of notes…
- YES I am keeping Cooper in a crib until he climbs out.
- The *most important* thing I did in this room (and every room in my house) is anchor the furniture to the walls. People will say things like, oh my dresser is solid wood so it would never tip, or, oh, that piece is plywood so it doesn’t need an anchor. It does. Everything needs an anchor. Hops off soapbox.
- We already had a dresser and chest, so I just updated the hardware and it was as good as new!
