You know I’m a big fan of Birkenstocks – see here, here, here, here – but I know the price tag can get people tripped up. They aren’t cheap but they ARE worth it. For perspective, a pair of Birkenstock Arizona sandals are $135 at Nordstrom. Nordstrom has amazing customer service and it’s easy to return if you don’t love the sandals. But if you’re willing to forgo the US-based customer service, you can get Birkenstocks under $100 if you don’t mind waiting for shipping. As a note – this post is NOT sponsored – I just love Birks & want to help get a pair on your feet 🙂
Here’s how to get Birkenstocks cheap:
What you need to know about shipping & returns…
The retailer is a UK website BUT you can pay using PayPal to make it easy. When you use PayPal, returns are FREE ($16 if you want to pay for a return) – activate the ‘free returns on us’ option here. Shipping is free over $100 or $8 otherwise – still not a bad deal overall because the cost of the sandals is nowhere near what it would be in the US, even with shipping factored in.
What you need to know about Sizing…
Sizing is UK, translated from Euro. This makes it a little tricky to translate your US size, but the chart below was true for me. I wear a 37 in Birks and ordered a UK 4 and the fit was perfect. Birkenstocks run wide but some of the styles listed below are ‘narrow’ Birkenstocks. I have a wide foot but the Narrow width Birks run more like a medium and work perfectly for me. But be sure to check the details to see whether the fit is medium/wide versus narrow/medium.
Here are 6 Birkenstock styles under $100:
I have a pair of silver Arizona, white Madrid, and the rose gold Arizona.
