This post about favorite things for a one-year-old is sponsored by BabbleBoxx.com on behalf of The Children’s Place.
It’s true – my sweet girl is already a year. And what an amazing year it’s been! If I could bottle Emmy up and keep her this age, I absolutely would. She is such a happy girl, full of smiles for anyone who will look her way, starting to develop a sense of humor, loves her daddy and siblings and, especially, her dog. After having 3 babies, I realize that at age one, you don’t need a ton of ‘stuff’ for babies – just a few basics and a lot of love 😉
Here are my favorite things for Emmy as a one-year-old:
Cute & Cozy Pajamas If you haven’t tried Stretchies from Children’s Place, they’re a MUST! Love that they zip (no time for snaps over here!) and they have no-slip soles on sizes 6-9 months and up – perfect for my learning-to-stand babe. To be honest, some days Em rocks pajamas all day long because they’re so easy and so comfy.
Easy Board Books Embarrassingly, we didn’t start reading to Emmy until she was about 8 months old… much later than we read to Quinn or Cooper as babies. But she absolutely loves books – flipping the pages, kissing the covers, the whole 9 yards, she’s obsessed. I limit her to board books because she will demolish any other kind ;). We love to read Peek a Who, Guess How Much I Love You, Sophie the Giraffe books, and anything else that the big kids can ‘read’ to her.
Snuggles We joke that Emmy gives the BEST hugs in the world but it’s totally true. She’s a little snuggle bunny and I hope she never grows out of it (wishful thinking!).
Mommy & Me Matching Outfits Since Em is my first baby as a SAHM, we end up matching in some way most days. My gingham top + her ‘Daddy’s Little Ladybug’ Bodysuit Bib And Leggings 3-Piece Playwear Set are super cute together – how adorable is that bib?
Playtime With Anything/Everything Another ‘perk’ of being the 3rd child is that you learn to play with anything you can find, even if there aren’t actual toys around. Emmy loves the Baby Girls Mixed Print Midi Sock 12-Pack from Children’s Place. We’ve been using them as little “boot” socks that peek above her little baby booties and the layering is SO cute! These socks are made to be seen. The Baby Bundles comes with 4 striped pairs, 4 heart printed pairs and 4 dot print pairs. CUTE.
All of the cute stuff Emmy is wearing above is from The Children’s Place. They have a great collection of Baby Bundles and Newborn Bundles, which are sweet little coordinating baby styles bundled together to take the guesswork out of gifting or getting clothes for baby.
