The sneak peek for the new Hunter for Target line came out yesterday and I have mixed feelings. We’re HUGE fans of both Hunter and Target so I wondered what the collaboration would look like. After combing through the entire collection, I found a couple things I would love to have and a couple of things that made me say, WTF – they’re kidding, right?! You can’t shop until April 14th but I wanted to round up everything to give you a game plan š
My strategy for shopping any Target collaboration is to order first, ask questions later. Meaning that for all this stuff, I have NO IDEA about the quality or fit, but I’ll order and figure that out when it comes. Stuff sells out too quickly to wait for the items to hit stores to see them in person – and it’s so easy to return whatever doesn’t fit or you just plain don’t like in real life.
See what I bought from the Magnolia Collection here.
Another tip – don’t be afraid to stray from the Women’s section… I bet the toddler sizes and women’s sizes will sell out quickly. So if something you like isn’t available, look for something similar in Men’s or Kid’s and adjust accordingly. Add 2 sizes to men’s to equal women’s (ie Men’s 7 = Women’s 9). Similarly, add 2 sizes to big kid’s to equal women’s (ie Big Kid’s 5 = Women’s 7).
Finally, if you don’t already have a Target REDcard, you need one. Not only do you save 5% on everything and get free shipping, but Target is giving REDcard holders early access to these items on April 7th. NOTE – you don’t get early access to everything with a REDcard, just the few items shown here.
First, the best of Hunter for target:
There were a couple other things I liked that didn’t make it into the list above – this is so cute for a mudroom, entryway or even in your car/SUV/van. And I’m absolutely ordering one of these – so practical (aka waterproof) for road trips or to hold snacks at the pool! Should I get this color or this color?
So… I’m ordering these, this, this, this and this.
Next, the worst of Hunter for target – wtf were they thinking?!
Who would spend $3 on this? No. Just no. I’m pretty sure this will be on the clearance rack. And I’m positive I had one of these in 1995. Some other really bad stuff:
