Why, How & What: Wireless Home Security with Blink

We’re in the middle of a remodel and it’s actually going really well! Things are on schedule, nothing has been a huge surprise, and we’re doing a-ok living in a space much smaller than we’re used to. Annoying. Not happening.  I was so excited when Blink by Amazon wanted to partner – their wire-free Blink XT home security camera system starts at $129, has no contract, no wires, no hassle. You just place it where you want (Chris did it without a ladder or tools!) turn it on, and it lasts for 2 years on two AA batteries! It sends any motion activated alerts and HD video to your phone via the free app.

After hearing from a security guy that we were going to have to make permanent decisions and put wires through brick, I was so pumped to find a solution that you can literally move anywhere. It’s weather-proof, too!

I love that the Blink security system will work for us now during the remodel and after the porch is added – all we have to do is move the camera. Doesn’t get much simpler than that!
