It’s here! The #NSALE is live. I went and tried on yesterday and there are a lot of great basics that are back and on sale.
My try-ons are below + I have broken out my picks by category so keep scrollin’ for all that!
And see what I bought, what I ordered, and 17 things I had from previous sales here.
Try Ons
was surprised to love this sweater – I’m wearing a small and for $36 on sale, it looks and feels substantial with good detailing. also comes in a bright green and sizes XS-3X // shop the sweater // shop the sweater in plus sizes
I wanted to try the demi boot trend so grabbed this black pair by Madewell – I’m 5’2 and wearing a 26 and the length just doesn’t work on me. they also attracted a ton of fuzz, so I’d beware of buying // shop the black jeans
wearing the Madewell mules I bought this sale! wearing a 7.5 and they’re comfy and just the right amount of subtle print – they also come in solid black and solid cognac // shop the mules
this Free People tunic was a mega bust for me – #NOTCUTE – but it was darling on my friend whose shoulders are less broad than mine // shop it here
the Spanx faux leather leggings are on sale again this year in regular sizes but also in petite, plus, and plus petite – I have them and am wearing them in a small regular here but plan to order the petite and if they work better, I’ll sell mine 🙂 the sale price ($64) is the cheapest they ever get, so if you want them, grab them now! // shop regular // shop petite // shop plus // shop plus petite
really liked this cashmere blend pullover but at 70% wool, 30% cashmere, there are other cashmere picks in the sale that are a better value 🙂 wearing the small/medium – it is lightweight and feels nice, but I have another option I think it better // shop it here
the Spanx faux leather leggings are on sale again this year in regular sizes but also in petite, plus, and plus petite – I have them and am wearing them in a small regular here but plan to order the petite and if they work better, I’ll sell mine 🙂 the sale price ($64) is the cheapest they ever get, so if you want them, grab them now! // shop regular // shop petite // shop plus // shop plus petite
wearing the new suede boots I bought this sale and I LOVE them – wearing a 7 so TTS // shop the boots
was SHOCKED at how good this faux-leather backpack is – the pebbling and hardware make it look way more expensive than $45. would make a great diaper bag backpack – since it’s faux, you can easily wipe it down // shop it here
if you’re going to splurge on a piece of cashmere this sale, I love this little ruana. it comes in 5 colors (including a beautiful blush) and is perfect for a chilly office, a flight, or topping off any outfit. it’s 100% cashmere for $113 (versus $170) – I didn’t buy this because I have a similar cashmere piece from a past Anniversary sale // shop it here
I DON’T recommend the BP tee this year – I’ve purchased it in past years and the quality is just lacking this year, even for the price. mega transparent and a little scratchy, honestly. I’d skip it (but giving you a link just in case) // shop it here

wearing the new suede boots I bought this sale and I LOVE them – wearing a 7 so TTS // shop the boots
not the best pic of these jeans but they are really cute for the price ($39) – I’m wearing a 26 and they’re TTS but the rise isn’t as high as I like on my denim so I passed // shop them here
faux-leather backpack again – the pebbling and hardware make it look way more expensive than $45. would make a great diaper bag backpack – since it’s faux, you can easily wipe it down // shop it here
really went wild on this one 😉 – I’m not a huge prints person but this little camo utility jacket is super cute on – it’s a little stretchy which was a welcomed surprise. it also comes in a solid pink which looks really cute online // shop the camo jacket here
wearing the striped version of the BP tee I DON’T recommend this year -mega transparent and a little scratchy, honestly. I’d skip it (but giving you a link just in case) // shop it here
let’s talk about this year’s version of the button-fly Madewell jeans… not my favorite, TBH. VERY VERY stretchy and the material is a little thinner than the pair I bought last year – because of the stretch, I’m wearing a 25 which *never* happens, so definitely size down // shop the Madewell button fly jeans // shop all Madewell sale
really impressed with these jeans! they’re the Ab-Solution from Wit&Wisdom and they’re a great dark jean for a great price ($52) – I’m wearing a 0 but need a 2… also I’m 90% sure I’m wearing the blue/black because the other blue on the site have slight distressing in one spot // shop them here
the Madewell cardigan comes in 5 colors this year, is super soft and stretchy. I have it in navy from last year but tried on in grey this year – runs BIG! size down 1 or even 2 // shop it here
wearing the new suede boots I bought this sale and I LOVE them – wearing a 7 so TTS // shop the boots
this oversized tunic sweater is BAD on me – I’m wearing a small and it just doesn’t work for me. good thing because it’s $99 which is a lil nuts for a rayon/poly blend sweater :/ -including a link just in case // shop the tunic sweater
these are a dark wash jean from Kut & Kloth and they’re good for the $60 price tag – I’m wearing a 2 – they also come in petite but I’m wearing regular length // shop them here
had to pop on my new block heeled mules – I’m wearing a 7.5 and they’re a great versatile sandal that feels like a bootie for under $50. they also come in a fun yellow and a versatile black // shop them here
really should’ve styled this better but I’m a HUGE fan of this tassel scarf with vintage vibes – on sale for $35 – also comes in an ivory print // shop it here
ok now I’m living in my element 😉 leggings and workout gear!
the leggings are a new version of the Zella live-in legging but they have pockets + a 7/8th length, which I love. nice compression and under $40 // shop them here // shop the maternity version here
can’t see much of the sports bra here but it’s one of the things that came home with me – wearing a medium & it’s under $32 // shop it here
this workout tank was super cute but a little too small (this was an XS, need a small) – the sheer stripes are really cute & it’s under $30 // shop it here
the Nikes – cute with a sparkly silver top and rose gold accents. I have them in last year’s version so I skipped these but they’re very lightweight and comfy // shop them here
this ivory cardigan is soft and casual for post-workout – wearing a small. comes in ivory and black and honestly, I didn’t buy because $45 for what it is seemed a little high – linking it just in case 🙂 // shop the cardigan here
leggings – same as above – new version of the Zella live-in legging but they have pockets + a 7/8th length, which I love. nice compression and under $40 // shop them here // shop the maternity version here
sports bra – same as above – wearing a medium & it’s under $32 // shop it here
the Nikes – same as above – cute with a sparkly silver top and rose gold accents. I have them in last year’s version so I skipped these but they’re very lightweight and comfy // shop them here
pardon the ridiculous photo but I forgot to take a pic so this is a screen grab from my try on ?- this North Face pullover was cute but I didn’t LOVE it – under $50 and comes in 3 neutral colors // shop it here
wearing the Zella high waist live in leggings here (I own them from last year) but they run long – I have one leg rolled up and the other left down to show you // shop them here
really really liked this lightweight rain jacket by North Face (see it in pretty pink below) but didn’t need it so didn’t buy it 🙂 this is the XS – it also packs up really small so perfect for travel, too (see pic below) // shop it here
the same jacket as above but in pink and in a size small – I’d go with the smaller size if you’re between // shop it here
last but not least – this quilted cutie. the lining is a super soft sherpa and the price is amazing (under $60). this is an XS and I need a small – comes in this pinky color or a grey-ish color // shop it here
this wasn’t in my try-on but the lightly quilted North Face coats are AMAZING – they have them in women’s and big girl’s – I’m wearing a big girl’s large (14/16) but they actually also have it in a big girl’s XL which is an 18 so might be worth considering if you’re on the petite side! // shop big girl’s here ($120) // shop women’s here ($160)
Shoes In Real Life
and these are so good – more comfortable than the suede BP pair that look very similar (but not as comfy – pictured next). these are Steve Madden and the simplicity is perfect + the heel isn’t too high. they also come in snakeskin and black leather // now: $87 – will be: $130 // shop the Steve Madden booties (pictured here)
I wanted to love these suede booties the most because they’re a great price ($80 for real suede) but when I tried them on, I found this pair to be more comfortable – to be clear, the BP booties shown here aren’t uncomfortable, I just liked the other pair better and didn’t need both 🙂 // shop the BP bootie (comes in 4 colors)
these Adidas sneaks are SO cute but know that they run HUGE. I tried on the 7 in store and I *think* they’re actually listed in men’s sizes instead of women’s (even though they are totally women’s shoes) SO moral of the story, order at least a full size down – I plan to order 2 full sizes down // Adidas Swift Run Sneakers
the Hunter boot selection at this year’s sale is great (both short and tall are on sale) – love these low profile grey pair + I have the short pair in the background // low profile Hunter boots // short tour packable Hunter boots
these UGG slippers are so good and the Anniversary sale is the lowest in price they’ll go – I bought the big girl’s version from LY so didn’t get these but they come in some fun colors, plus neutral fawn and black // UGG women’s // UGG kids
these little Gazelle sneaks for kids caught my eye – super cute and the adult version is on sale, too // shop pink toddler/little kid sizes // shop pink baby/walker sizes // shop blue toddler/little kid sizes // shop blue baby/walker sizes // shop all Adidas kids on sale

I’ve been following you on Instagram for awhile, but this is the first time I’ve ever commented on the blog and I have to say that I love how honest and straightforward you are in your posts! Also, I really appreciate that you show more practical “mom style” options than a lot of other bloggers. Love your coverage of the #nsale! Thanks!
