My little angels generously shared a terrible virus with me last week so I decided not to blog from my deathbed but I’m back at it this week…
St. Louis was under water
last week two weeks ago with steady rain almost every single day, so we ran out of things to do at home after about 23 minutes. Every indoor child-friendly place was packed so I did what any suburban mother-of-two with time to spare would do… hit the local Target.
The kids love Target trips. We usually wander the aisles, stopping for cheese squares in the cooler section and pausing to get Quinn in and out of the cart 57 times. You really haven’t had a successful Target trip until you are in the far back corner of the store (where the seasonal stuff is, you know what I’m talking about) and your 2.5 year old announces, loudly, “I have to go poop, Mom!”. Cue a scramble to the front of the store, ditching the cart full of absolute necessities, and hoisting 2 humans out of said cart to run into the only stall large enough to accommodate 3 humans at once. #livingthedream
Occasionally, I get to actually stop in the glorious sections near the front of the store, aka the black hole of shopping – the Target women’s clothing and accessories sections. Last week, the stars aligned and I was able to shop for myself with 2 kids under 3 in tow. I hadn’t been to Target in awhile and absence really does make the heart grow fonder.
I walked out with f.i.v.e. new pieces for summer, all of them pink. Here are my latest treasures – my pink Target finds.
Pink Paisley Tassel Scarf // Shout-out to Quinn for shooting with her bubble gun for real life bubble action
Just Peachy Pleated Skirt // I own this in black AND peach – runs a little large and has an elastic waist – score
Pink Slub Tank // Very similar to J. Crew versions in texture and hue
Little Girls Tutu Swimsuit // Wish they made this in my size. Quinn: “It’s a ballerina swimsuit, mom”
Reversible Tote // The coolest beach bag of the season. They had tons of colors and I didn’t realize it was reversible ’til I got home – #bonus
What’s your latest Target steal?
