Matching separates are a huge trend lately but I’m not bold/stylish/chic/cool enough to pull them off. An easy alternative is a structured layered dress, which often looks like 2 pieces. I found the pretty blue one below at Forever XXI – been finding a ton of really cute, affordable stuff there lately.
I wore this dress to work and got a handful of compliments on it, but the best part was telling people it was only $23! Nothing better than a good deal š
I paired it with neutral accessories to keep the look a little polished and modern but you could easily make it a little more bad-ass by wearing bolder accessories and ankle booties.
I’m really tempted to try another layered dress because it was surprisingly flattering. I like a boxier silhoutte and this had sharp edges without being too bulky. A new favorite in my summer closet, for sure.
