I know I’m not alone in wanting my teeth to be as white as possible, but using traditional products KILLED my teeth – so much sensitivity, not just while eating or drinking but even when air would touch them the wrong way. Not exactly ideal…
Admittedly, I started off with relatively white teeth. But I did 2 weeks of the Whitening Strips and use the Whitening Pen when I remember, ha! Get ready for an extreme close up… here’s my before & after:
Lumineux Review: Before & After
Lumineux has 2 options for whitening – I’m outlining the differences between the Ultra Bright Pen & the White Strips below:
Lumineux Ultra Bright Pen
The Whitening Pen is my favorite because it’s awesome for whitening on-the-go – keep one in your purse, your car, your desk – and just swipe on a coat any time, anywhere.
Aside from whitening, it also acts as a stain repellent to guard teeth from stains caused by beverages like red wine, coffee, tea or soda which is GENIUS! Just smile wide, twist to get a bit of gel on the brush, and apply onto your teeth in a thin layer. Let it dry for 60 seconds before eating or drinking & enjoy your bev without the dreaded purple wine teeth.
If you want to use the Ultra Bright Pen for whitening, brush on the same way as above but avoid eating or drinking for 30 minutes afterwards. It’s great if you want to whiten and be able to speak at the same time (I’m one of those people with a major lisp with any strips on my teeth!) or any time you want to whiten but don’t want to mess with disposing of used white strips (think work, in the car or on an airplane).
Lumineux Whitening Strips
Lumineux’s whitening products don’t use the same ingredients as traditional white strips – instead, they use found in nature ingredients like coconut oil, sage oil, lemon peel oil & sea salt that don’t cause any sensitivity or weaken enamel. Take a look at the difference in ingredients:
Lumineux White Strips
Vegetable Glycerol, Deionized Water, Carbomer, Carboxymethyl, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Dead Sea Salt (Maris Sal), Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Oil, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil
Crest 3D White Strips
Water, Glycerin, Hydrogen Peroxide, Carbomer, Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), PEG, Acrylates Copolymer, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Saccharin
The Lumineux Teeth Whitening Strips have no artificial colors or flavors and – most importantly – work to gently whiten your teeth without sensitivity.
