Introducing… Lovely Lucky Lakehouse

WE BOUGHT A HOUSE! But we’re not moving ;). For several years, we’ve wanted a place to get away, to relax as a family, and to enjoy with our extended family and friends.

Over the past 3 years, we’ve put 3 offers on lake community homes about an hour away from our house in St. Louis, with the intent of using the house for ourselves and fam and friends but also as a rental home for other families to enjoy. And, turns out, 3rd time was a charm!

We didn’t want anything too far from home since our kids are young and super involved with sports and weekend activities, and, despite it being IN a lake community, we’re not ON a lake – we didn’t want that added stress of open water with young kids, either.

So, a few weeks ago, we closed on a great house (perfect for entertaining & hosting multiple families!) and are going fast & furious with cosmetic updates to hopefully be in by Memorial Day!

It’s big & beautiful but we’re changing up the floors, paint color, lighting and window treatments!

I’m excited to make new memories with our family and friends, but also THRILLED to be able to share the space with all of you and embark on our very first vacation rental adventure from the OTHER side – as the home owner versus the home renter!

I’ll share as soon as I can when dates are available and you’re able to rent the house for a getaway with your own friends and family! In the meantime… I need your help weighing in on all the fun stuff like lighting, furniture, bedding, paint – the whole shebang! I’ll be sharing a ton more on Instagram :).
