Mother’s Day is right around the corner and I recently got myself an early Mother’s Day gift that’s been a long time coming… a new bike!
Last year during lockdown, both of my older kids learned how to ride two-wheelers. Chris bought himself a bike to ride along with them, but by the time I went to purchase one for myself, they were sold out evvvvverywhere. So my sweet dad brought over my high school bike from his garage… 34-year-old me on a 20-year-old neon purple mountain bike was the definition of hot mess express!
This year, I knew it was time to get myself a grown-up bike for family rides, so I went to Academy Sports + Outdoor. I always get my favorite $10 summer slides from Academy.com + I order the kids’ Nike sneakers from Academy as well, but I finally went in-store instead of doing curbside and took a few of the cruisers for a spin around the store!
This is the one I chose… has 7 speeds, hand brakes, I love the bright red, and it’s a super comfortable upright ride. She’s a beaut!
Love that Academy Sports has an option for curbside pickup and a great selection in-store. I also reallllly love that they have a line of exclusive brands that you can only find at Academy.
