How is it already time for the holidays?! We’re back in our house after our renovation and one of my new favorite rooms is our guest bedroom – and it’s totally holiday and guest ready thanks to Kohls!
I scored the most adorable Bear-Aisle winter sheets by Cuddlduds (hi, bears and snowflakes!) that remind me of a few brands that are MUCH more expensive, but these are a steal! And I’ve got a free Christmas printable for you to print and hang anywhere in your house – vintage-y and chalkboard-y and just plain cute. Snag it here!
Here’s our guest bedroom, all guest-ready thanks to Kohls, plus a few tips for making your guests’ stay comfortable during the holidays:
- Make sure the mattress is comfy. If you can’t splurge on a new mattress, consider a mattress topper (love this one from Serta!) to make the bed comfy.
- Include 2 different kinds of pillows: I always put a firm option and a soft option on our guest bed – you never know what your guests will prefer. I love these ice cold pillows by Columbia 🙂
- Keep the remotes close – we don’t have a TV in our guest room but we do have a ceiling fan with a light and it’s all controlled via remote. I include ours in a basket on the bed so that it doesn’t get lost.
- Add a cozy blanket (or two) – you never want guests to be uncomfortable, so always smart to include a cozy blanket aside from a comforter. This pom blanket is gorgeous and so cozy.
Kohls is having a huge sale on Columbia, The Big One, Cuddlduds, and Serta from 11/7-11/18

Finally getting around to making our house a home after 2 years and a baby (the baby’s room is the only room we made over so far!). Loving your style and tips. Can you share a link or where you found these gray curtains in your guest bedroom? Thanks!
