It’s our first year with a covered porch and I’m taking full advantage! In past years, the straw bales I’ve used on the porch have sprouted grass from the rain – mega outdoor decor fail!
Here are some fall ideas for the porch that I hope will inspire you! Heavy on the pumpkins & mums ;).
Fall Ideas for Porch
silver plant holders // IKEA Citronmeliss but couldn’t find online :/
mailbox // a great high-quality mailbox for a great price – fits magazines + small packages – shop it here
magnolia wreath // not cheap but gorgeous and high quality – shop it here
faux pumpkins // (green pumpkin stacked on white on ground + white pumpkin leaned forward on the right are both faux – sourced here) – the rest are real and from Trader Joe’s for $6.99 apiece. They were INSIDE my TJ’s so call first and don’t get discouraged if they only have orange outside
mums // the large are from Costco ($15 apiece) and the small are a mix of Costco ($15 for 4) and Aldi ($2.99 each)
lantern sconces // LOVE these and have 2 flanking the door + one at our side door
chandelier // a little industrial + great for the vaulted ceiling – source here
cotton throw // from IKEA and only $15
outdoor fan // LOVE this one 😉 she’s a beaut!
Fall Porch Decor Hacks
One little hack if you’re putting mums into pots that are a little too deep – use Solo cups inside the pot to act as a very inexpensive riser.
A pumpkin hack if you’re using fresh pumpkins outside – put a bit of newspaper beneath the pumpkin with baking soda sprinkled on – this will keep the ground moisture and the pumpkin moisture separate and prevent early rotting.
