Having 3 kids and a puppy mean there are messes in my life ALL.THE.TIME. When all 3 are in the double stroller (you do the math on that), I call us the hot-mess express. It’s crazy and chaotic and, yes, messy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
We live in a two story home, where the bedrooms are on the second floor but we spend most of our time on the main level. Pretty quickly after moving in, I realized that we needed to keep an extra set of baby essentials on the first floor to avoid 147 trips up and down the stairs every day. With baby Emmy being so little, I just refreshed the diaper changing station basket we keep on the desk in the kitchen. It’s definitely our one-stop shop for all the baby essentials on the main level of the house.
Take a peek at our Diaper Changing Station Basket:
Just because I #HugTheMess doesn’t mean I want all the baby stuff all over the house looking a mess. So I grabbed a great basket that fits with our decor and stuffed it full of the baby care essentials I use daily. Here’s what I included:
- Huggies Snug & Dry diapers – LOTS of them. love the Snug & Dry because they have 4 layers that absorb super fast + they’re $2 off here (find a store)
- a change of clothes – good for spit-up or any other major messes
- saline spray and a nasal aspirator – great for getting out baby boogies
- burp cloth – a real mom MVP for newborns
- breast pads – as a nursing mom, I’m always in need of these bad boys
- waterproof changing pad – essential for diaper changes on the couch š
- Huggies One & Done Refreshing Wipes – these wipes are amaze because they’re thick and textured to grab more – ahem – mess. and they’re packaged to ensure only one wipe comes out a time so no waste and no drying out… basically a super wipe!
For the rest of the year, you can get $2 off Huggies at Family Dollar with their Smart Coupons – seriously SO easy to use. You virtually clip the coupon via your phone or computer and then give your phone number at checkout, and they automatically apply the discount for all the coupons you’ve “clipped”. Doesn’t get much simpler than that!
So now I’m all set for changes and anything else that baby Emmy may need when we’re hanging out on the opposite side of the house from her nursery. And now for the cute pics of my babe in her diapers š
