Summer is coming and I’m excited – outdoor play time every day! Letting my kids enjoy the ice cream truck! Chalk art for daysssss. I’m mildly terrified, however, of taking both kids to the pool by myself. Do you think they’ll volunteer to be tethered to me and hold hands with each other the entire time? Me neither.
The kids are in weekly indoor swimming lessons so we’ve been in the pool all winter long. They are both doing well and Cooper LOVES jumping in the water now, whether or not I’m looking or counting or ready whatsoever. This bravery guarantees he will be wearing a Puddle Jumper any time we are within 70 feet of the pool entrance.
When I’m searching for swimming suits for my kids, I look for a couple things:
- SPF built in. Most little kid’s swimsuits have SPF built in, which is great for little ones with sensitive skin.
- Fun prints. I am loving the florals for the girls and preppy brights for the boys.
- Easy on, easy off. With a potty trained 3 year old, the swimsuit has to be easy to get off for those “mom, I have to go potty” calls from the kiddie pool.
Here are my favorite swim suits for little girls:
Floral Rashguard // Ice Cream One Piece // Mermaid Off Duty Dot One Piece // Doggy One Piece // Floral Two Piece // Floral One Piece // Pink Tankini
And my favorite swim suits for little guys:
Shark Trunks // Gator Trunks // Pineapple Trunks // Navy Swim Shorts // Red & Blue Rashguard // Lobster Trunks // Rashguard Swim Set
Are you ready to hit the pool this summer?
