This may come as a shock to you, but I’m NOT a makeup and beauty pro (sarcasm, duh I’m not!). But I am all about looking a little less exhausted and a little more like an actual human versus a zombie, so I’ve really upped my makeup and skincare game in the last couple years. And by ‘upped’, I mean I actually use a few products versus none ;).
I wanted to put together this post for those of you who don’t have a beauty routine or don’t want to spend money on something you don’t really know how to use (aka anything super fancy!) or aren’t sure works. I usually just swipe on some concealer (the absolute best I’ve tried and worth every penny) and mascara and go! Every other day or so, I powder in my brows using this palette and this brush – the powder is under $6 and SO worth it to make your eyebrows look full without looking overdone and the brush is also a steal – under $10. This is a great, lightweight option to erase blackheads and this goes on my undereye bags every.single.day. At night I use this on my lashes and I keep a pair of these in every room of the house.
If it’s a no-shower day, I swear by this dry shampoo – it smells great and works really well at freshening up my wild morning hair. I’m really excited to try this for days when I just cannot wake up and add this to my travel bag.
I also use this self-tanner once or twice a week and it’s totally idiot-proof and gives a great glow that adjusts to your skin tone. This is a summer MUST – perfect for days where you don’t want to apply a lotion sunscreen, for squirmy babies and toddlers, and for your scalp if you’ll be in the sun.
