Thanks to Macy’s for sponsoring this post. Sponsors allow me to keep sharing cool stuff with you 🙂
I’ve been in a backpack rut for the past year; I blame it on a toddler with no survival instincts and always needing a coffee in at least one hand ;). So when Vera Bradley invited me to their World of Vera Bradley event at my local Macy’s to check out their latest and greatest, I jumped at the chance! The last time I owned something Vera Bradley I purchased it at the college bookstore using a student charge card billed straight to my parents’ address. A joyful time, that’s for sure.
I know Vera Bradley is quality but also that people go crazy for it, so I went to see what the hype was all about. And, now, I get it: pretty prints, lightweight fabric bags, and thoughtful details. On top of the stuff you would think of when you hear Vera Bradley, they have some gorgeous new leather stuff – seriously, check out this backpack and this crossbody. Plus tons of gift-y ideas for the holidays – think blankets, umbrellas, soaps, candles, pajamas, and jewelry.
I fell in love with the most classic Vera bag of all: the Vera Tote in Classic Black. Not as exciting as one of the great prints but I wanted it to be super versatile. Love that it’s lightweight, you can literally fold it up, but it keeps it’s shape when you set it down – no tipping over and exposing all the crap I keep in my bag spilling onto the floor!
I’m pregnant right now, so I’m just kind of rocking a basic maternity momiform on repeat: comfy and cute. Basic moto leggings, a stretchy black top, an easy black cargo/utility vest, and low black booties are easy for a day of running around and chasing toddlers. Add a basic black bag that can hold EVERYTHING (think: laptop, wallet, waterbottle, kids’ stuff – ie diapers, snacks, toys) and I’m set!
