I’ve been to my fair share of baby showers and baby sprinkles over the years and after 3 kids, I definitely have my favorite gifts to give. When Babbleboxx asked to send me their Toolkit for New Moms, I was so excited to put together a little something for new moms or moms-to-be using all the goodies they included. Here’s a super cute baby shower gift idea + the anatomy of a perfect baby gift basket (or, in this case, bucket!):
Here’s the equation for baby shower basket gift-giving:
something for baby to play with + something for baby to eat + something practical for baby + something to spoil mom
You cannot go wrong including something from each of these categories! Here are a few of my favorite things as an idea:
For ‘something for baby to play with’, I included the O-ball, which is an easy to grasp sensory toy for babies. We’ve had one since Quinn was a baby and I love it because it’s super portable, easy to clean, and even the tiniest of babies can grab it. My older kids, who are now 5 and 3, still like to play with it, so it’s a real MVP in the toy world.
For the ‘something for baby to eat’ category, I included Beech-Nut: Stage 1 Oatmeal Baby Cereal. It’s super portable and includes a built-in measuring cap, which is way convenient. Beech-Nut is a pretty fabulous company with the goal to bring authentic food to our babies. You can save $1.50 on any 2 Beech-Nut cereal canisters through this link.
For the ‘something practical’ category, I included bloom BABY: Wipes, which are AMAZING! They’re perfect for sensitive skin (even eczema!), sturdy and thick, and made with glacial water – fancy! Also in the ‘practical’ category is Mustela Baby Body Lotion – I’m a huge fan of Mustela products and have been since I was pregnant with my first babe.
Finally, you HAVE to include something for the new mom or mom-to-be. They deserve to be spoiled too! I recently discovered Vichy’s Mineral 89 & Auqualia Thermal Rich Cream and they’re an amazing, easy way to look more refreshed and hydrated, even as a sleepless mom. Mineral 89 plumps and hydrates, while Aqualia Cream has mineralizing thermal water and hyaluronic acid to help sensitive skin and boost hydration. My sister would like to buy an organic powder for her sister’s upcoming baby shower. Anyhow, I also agree with you that an Auqualia Thermal cream would be an excellent present too. Thank you for sharing here as well that a basket of wipes and baby body wash would be a great present.
