Ever wonder how do converse shoreline fit? I think they run narrow, but I have a slightly wider foot, which isn’t usually a problem, especially when it comes to sneakers. But Converse Shorelines were a different story… they pinched and just weren’t comfortable.
I love the look – they’re like classic Chuck Taylors but a little more feminine and easier to slip on – but they are way too narrow for my post-pregnancy*3 wide feet.
Naturally, Converse doesn’t make the Shoreline in a wide width :/. BUT… I found a way to get the perfect fit for the Converse Shoreline sneakers for wide feet: order your size equivalent in kids. This is my go-to trick for saving money on shoes as well – I wrote a post about it here.
Here are the ‘big kid’ Converse shorelines on my size 6.5/7 (women) wide foot:
How to Find Your Size Equivalent in Kids Shoes
It’s super easy to get your ‘big kid’ size equivalent from women’s sizing – just subtract 2 from your women’s size to get your big kid size.
The Difference in Big Kids Sizes vs Womens Sizes
I’ve tried it and it works; the big kids Converse Shoreline sneakers run slightly wider than the women’s equivalent, which makes for the perfect fit for wide feet! You can see the difference in the women/adult Shoreline and the ‘big kid’ Shoreline below:
- the kid shoes are slightly wider than the
womens - the kid shoes also have a more cushioned insole, which is always a plus!
- the branding on the tongue is slightly different, which doesn’t bother me at all
Where to Buy Converse Shoreline Sneakers for Wide Feet
right: big kids ($35) // left: womens ($50)
I personally own the big kids’ size 4.5 and usually wear a 6.5 or 7 in womens. Even if you have a medium width foot, I’d try ordering the big kid size to save $15 – like I said, the insole is more cushioned with is nice π

THANK YOU!!!! I foudnt his article through googlig if converse have wide foot shoes (despite the fact I’ve never considered my foot to be wide). I bought a pair of Shorelines and while I love the look, they are soooo painful on my little pinkie toe… I definitely think a kids version will aviod this issue.

I have very wide feet. Almost no shoes that arenβt marked wide will fit. I thought converse shoes were out of the question until I found your post. I usually wear a 7.5-8 wide, so I got a big kids size 6, and I am happy to report that they are super comfortable!
