I ran into Target today to return a few things and we all know how this story ends… roaming the aisles for unnecessary items. Except I actually WAS on the hunt for something to wear for family photos – and it was a win ;). I wanted to share the stuff I found because Target is $10 off a $40 purchase, so I’m basically saving money, right?! Totally kidding. But I did find a J Crew parka dupe that you NEED to see and a few other sweaters I loved.
So, here goes! My Target try-on session:
this coat is 100% a J Crew parka dupe – theirs is $365 full price. is the quality the same? of course not. but if you want a coat with a high-end look and won’t be spending hours outside, this is a good, on-trend alternative. this coat – comes in 3 colors & 5 sizes, on sale for $55
high-end J. Crew Chateau Parka // mid-range J. Crew Factory Vail Parka // low-end Target J. Crew Dupe
I’d been dying to try this sherpa sweatshirt and the look is cute from the outside but the lining isn’t sherpa-y, it’s just normal. so it’s cute but not as cozy as I’d like š – comes in 4 really cute colors for under $25

this scalloped sweater would be SO cute if you worked in an office but it was a little too dressy for my SAHM wardrobe – cute for under $30
this chunky-knit sweater definitely looked more expensive than it is ($35!) but the chunky knit added a little too much chunk – does that make any sense?!

HOLY WINNER! this is 100% my favorite thing from this try-on – are you surprised?! this sherpa has stretch with cozy material on the outside AND inside for under $25 AND it’s available in 5 colors. order up – wearing a small here and I’d prefer a more oversized fit
thoughts on the rust color? also comes in ivory, peach, grey, and black
I came for something to wear to family pics and I knew the girls would be wearing red, so I was looking for something in the green family – this chenille cable sweater was the winner! I bought it and it’s way softer than it looks. runs a little oversized, wearing a small here & bought an XS
this tissue turtleneck looks and feels so high-end – perfect for layering. wearing a medium here (all they had in-store) but ordered an XS as a layering piece – under $20!
