Fun at-home activity alert! If you’re looking for a fun, festive family activity to do together for Easter (or a rainy day!), Edible has you covered! Edible, aka Edible Arrangements, still has the delicious fruit bouquets we all know and love, but they also have really cool Dipping Kits.
Cooper, Quinn and I got a little sloppy but a lot sweet with the Happy Easter Dipping Kit! The kit comes with the most perfect strawberries (ready for dipping!) and pineapple pieces in fun Easter shapes, as well as a bag of the signature chocolate for dipping, a bag of pastel confetti sprinkles and 3 different pastel colored piping bags to decorating the creations!
The hardest part was keeping my kids’ patient while I melted the chocolate, ha! You can use a double boiler but I just microwaved (if you go the microwave route, be sure you’re only heating in short increments – think 15 seconds). The piping bags were a bit firm, too, and short bursts in the microwave worked but putting them in hot water would also work!
Quinn and Coop had a blast dipping their fruits into the chocolate – and licking their fingers along the way ;).
We definitely got chocolate hands and a newfound respect for the artistry that goes into making those pretty Edible arrangements! The kids had fun and we worked on our creations for about an hour, so that was a win in my book!
The piping bags and sprinkles were a nice touch for making things nice and Easter-y. Almost like decorating eggs, but edible!
The Easter Dipping Kit is a great way to spend some quality time as a family but would also be a great date-night activity. I can totally envision a design competition, ha! Edible offers same-day or next-day delivery, and everything is delivered fresh to your door.
The kids nailed it, don’t you think?!
